Some Finishing Touches........The Garden Workshop

I forgot to add these photos before I turned the workshop into a chaotic sorting area.
All the handles are installed along with the worktops, they will never be this tidy again.
This is my pop up plug socket in my work table. I had wanted to have plug sockets in the floor but this wasn't possible so my chippie suggested installing one of these.
Once pushed down this is left on the worktop quite unobtrusive.
I am not sure even now what worktable permutation I will finish up with but the pop up socket seems like a solution to the cable problem.
This is my big indulgence and why I am having so many problems with the work top. I really wanted a chill chair in the work shop for well, chilling oh and shopping on my ipad! They are called 'snuggler' chairs apparently, how cute is that. It's so comfy and has lots of space.
The television is not connected to the house but will have an Amazon Fire box which will allow me to watch films and such which is more than adequate. The Ethernet is going to be connected on Monday so we will see if I can get it working!
Last but not least I just had to buy this cushion for my snuggler. Perfect for a dolls house workshop.
Have a great weekend everyone.

  1. I wondered about the socket issue given where your work area is. I thought why not have sockets in the floor, now I know why. Very doable what you have! :o)

I did ponder on a comfy chair in my cabin, but I fought against it, I just wouldn't have enough space for my hobby given what I haven't even started on, but also I'd get little done! Lol

The big unpack continues I guess! ;o))

    1. The socket problem should be solved now. To be honest I don't need anything plugged in all the time so the sockets on all the walls, 14 in total, will be fine. The pop up is just convenient.
The unpacking will be going on for a while. I have set myself the target of next Sunday to be sitting down in front of a miniature project!

  7. What a fantastic workspace you have created for yourself. It's wonderful and I love your popup sockets. I have a seat in my hobby room as well but it's called the "staring stool" although yours looks a lot more comfortable than mine! I can see you are going to spend lots of happy hours in this space.

  8. Wow, your workshop is turning out wonderful and that chair looks devine. I think I'd find it hard to get out of that chair to actually do any minis - a good magazine and a cuppa and I'd be in there for the day.
